Sharon founded “Gracious Space, LLC,” to fulfill her passion of guiding others to reach their full potential through professional and life coaching. Her success is built on a simple approach: an honest and respectful conversation. She is ACC certified through the International Coaching Federation and in addition, has received certification through The Newfield Network and Narrative Coaching. Her approach to coaching is to help her client breakthrough the frustration they often feel when they are stuck. After going through the experience of what it feels like in the moment of being stuck, her coaching invites them to search for what it would take to get unstuck and helps them to shift to where they want to be.

Her success is attributed to her various career choices. Starting out in Pastoral Ministry, she expanded her influence into the corporate world. For over 30 years, Sharon was a recognized leader in Human Resources where she led organizational efforts to engage employees in opportunities for learning and development.

In addition, she served as adjunct professor in the business department at Anne Arundel Community College and the graduate Human Resources Development (HRD) program at McDaniel College. In all of her work, she emphasized the importance of compassionate respect for the individual and their potential.

Her volunteer work includes service on various non-profit boards as a way of giving back what she has gained to the community. Sharon served on the following non-profit boards:

  • International Coaching Federation’s Maryland Chapter (ICF-MD)
  • Baltimore Archdiocesan Board of Christian Formation
  • Ignatian Volunteer Corps
  • Pastoral Counseling and Care Ministries
  • Chesapeake Human Resources Association

In addition to her coaching certifications, Sharon was previously certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources through (SHRM) Society for Human Resources Management, and the (HRCI) Human Resources Certification Institute. She is certified in the Belbin Assessment for Team Development.
